JDE/EXTOL - Remove hardcoding from existing / new rulesets

15th October 2013

Many times Address book numbers are stored in EXTOL (ie. code tables) while the values should be stored in JDE and maintained by the business owners.

Via simple SQL lookups we can add business logic and leverage existing JDE set-ups, to give business owners that give more control over TP set-up.

EXTOL SQL Lookups Ideal for :

  • JDE Address book # lookups based on customer ship-to location ID. Essential for inbound documents to identify TP to JDE
  • Customer ship-to location ID lookups based on JDE Address book. Essential for outbound documents to return TP pertinent data
  • Use PNID to drive outbound processes in EXTOL. This removes the needed lookup of AN8 to determine Application Endpoint usage.
