Qualify Non-Matching Data in EEI Map

19th May 2014

In EXTOL EDI Integrator, there are times a trading partner sends multiple segments of the same type, ie N3 segment. In such cases we cannot qualify the data like we would normally in an REF or DTM segment.

In order to map the data in all the segments we need to qualify the segments for a non-match.

In our example below we are looking to map the data in both N3 segments.

When we place a ‘2’ on each of the N3 segments, we are going to instruct EEI to map data in the segment when there is NOT a null value in the first element.
